Miami recorded eighty-six opening half points versus the Grizzlies
The Heat earned a decisive 146-114 victory against the Grizzlies in their first basketball match after player Terry Rozier was arrested for alleged unlawful sports betting.
Portland Trail Blazers coach Billups was also detained as part of a sweeping FBI probe into illegal gambling. The two individuals deny the claims.
However, the Heat were focused as they put up eighty-six first-half points to be ahead of Memphis by 39 after two quarters, the largest halftime lead in the team's 37-year existence.
Adebayo top-scored with twenty-four points and later said Rozier had the team's full backing.

Miami head coach Spoelstra added: "Terry is a person who is very dear to all of us. He has made a beneficial influence on our team.
"Our thoughts are with him and support for him as he goes through this."
Portland also won their first game since the arrests, with Brazilian Splitter taking over as interim coach in Chauncey's absence and leading the squad to a convincing 139 to 119 victory against the Warriors.
"We all had great experiences with Billups and how he coached," Tiago said. "We're thinking of him and his loved ones but our focus is on the game."
Speaking about the detentions for the first time, league head Adam Silver stated he was "very upset" by the incidents of the recent days.
"There's nothing more important to the NBA and its fans than the fairness of the competition," he told Amazon Prime. "And so I felt uneasy. It was very upsetting."
The commissioner further mentioned an NBA investigation into the player's actions in spring 2023, when there was "unusual wagering" in a game he played for the Charlotte Hornets against the New Orleans Pelicans, discovered no wrongdoing.
"It was brought to our attention by the authorities and the betting companies," he continued.
"We then looked into the matter and were open regarding it. And while there was that aberrational betting, we, honestly, couldn't find anything.
"Federal authorities has legal authority... [it] can impose penalties, can do all kinds of things that the league office can't do.
"Therefore, we've been cooperating since then. Naturally, what they revealed yesterday was an indictment.
"Moreover two and a half years later, he still hasn't been convicted of anything, in justice to Terry.
"Clearly, it doesn't look good, but he's been suspended, and so it is a compromise in this case between upholding rights and conducting an inquiry."
Elsewhere, Lakers star Luka Doncic scored over forty points for the consecutive match in a row to begin the campaign.

From Greece forward Giannis Antetokounmpo additionally had a strong performance with thirty-one scores, 20 boards and seven assists in the Bucks' 122 to 116 victory over the Raptors.
Houston Rockets were beaten 115 to 111 by the Pistons even with thirty-seven scores from Kevin Durant, while Wembanyama had twenty-nine scores, eleven boards and nine rejections in the Spurs' overtime win against the New Orleans.
