Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have come under escalating attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused power cuts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while local people in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and encountered disruption to water supplies, as stated by city officials.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, as reported by local officials.

Russian forces has escalated strikes on energy facilities over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "concrete actions" from international partners to exert influence on Russia.

"The necessity is not window dressing but decisive action - from the US, European nations and the major economies - in supplying air defence systems and enforcing restrictions," he wrote in a public message.

He said that 450 drones and over thirty projectiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were working to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes hit electrical systems and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Several of the people wounded in the assaults on the capital have been transported for medical care, per statements from city authorities.

Regional authorities said the metropolitan region endured significant strikes throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child died and several individuals were wounded.

The strikes succeed evenings of bombing campaigns in the territory, parts of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The whole nation is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to detect.

Government officials told the media that Moscow was purposely seeking to damage the country's energy grid, with assaults already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated utility staff and authorities were preparing for further attacks.
