Two-time heavyweight champion Joshua Released from Hospital in Nigeria Following Deadly Car Crash

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday night. The 36-year-old was caught in a vehicular crash near Lagos on December 29th, a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of two of his close associates.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The sports star had been receiving medical attention while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives confirmed on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was judged healthy enough to continue his recovery at home.

“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked.

Honoring the Deceased

The two men who died were identified as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the athlete was heartbroken and overcome with emotion over the loss of his two dear friends.”
